Mission Housing Development Corporation
For more than three decades MHDC has provided housing options to residents of San Francisco. The organization currently serves almost 3,000 residents in more than 1,000 units. Three hundred and fifty additional rental units are being developed and six more sites are being considered to build homeownership units.
MHDC is one of the largest non-profit housing organizations in San Francisco, with 31 buildings that it either owns or manages.
MHDC's residents access services through the organization's partnerships with leading non-profits. We help residents get the best social service programs available from organizations such as OnLok Senior Services and Centro Latino de San Francisco for senior programs, Mission Neighborhood Health Center for health services, Mission Hiring Hall for employment placement and training programs, and also the Mexican Museum and the YMCA.
MHDC formed an Advisory Committee composed of community leaders and other professionals with expertise in the housing, business, and non-profit sectors. The Advisory Committee provides technical and professional advice to the Board of Directors.
