Mary Helen Rogers Senior Community
This 100-unit senior community is named in honor of long-term Western Addition activist Mary Helen Rogers. It is located in the Western Addition at Franklin and Gold Gate Avenue. Mission Housing is developing the site in partnership with Devine & Gong and John Stewart Company. The site is scheduled for completion in 2009.
The Mary Helen Rogers Senior Community will share services and community space with the adjacent Parkview Terraces. Included in the plan for the community is a café that will cater to the socialization needs of residents of both sites as well as the larger community. Mission Housing is developing the café in conjunction with Centro Latino de San Francisco and Mission Language and Vocational Services.
