Nelson Correa

Nelson Correa is originally from Cartagena Colombia, where he studied architecture from 1990 to 1997 before arriving in San Francisco in 2000.
In 2005, he began working with Caritas Property Management. He worked with them for 15 years, learning to work with people and for people. It was there that he met many people who helped him understand the importance of helping low-income communities.
In the middle of 2019, Nelson joined Mission Housing as a facility manager, where he found a unique and enriching experience working every day, hand-in-hand with the communities in the mission.
Nelson is responsible for inspecting, maintaining and repairing any problem Mission Housing has in their buildings — always working as team with the Asset Management Department and from time-to-time collaborating with MHDC’s Construction Team.
Outside of my work, he loves to spend time with his family, listens to music and visiting the sea.
