Clearing out our Notice of Violations:
Structural/seismic retrofit for 2800 Bryant – Construction started September 2021
We had a notice of violation that required Mission Housing to make this project structurally sound according to the Soft Story Ordinance
The scope of work consists of seismic retrofit to address the soft-story condition, provide new storefronts and façade improvements
Progressing Clean Energy Goals:
Conversion of 100-year-old buildings’ gas systems to fully electric + increase energy savings
The following projects have energy-saving scope items:
3434 18th Street project Upper Unit Electrification – Construction started December 2021
New induction stoves that are safer and more energy-efficient
Upgraded HVAC system
Heat pump water heaters instead of gas water heaters
New insulation to help reduce heating and cooling costs
New windows for ventilation
New low-flow water fixtures
Energy savings light fixtures
Maria Alicia Apartments Exterior & Common Area improvements – Construction started October 2021
PV panels that will use solar energy
Electrical re-wiring & energy-efficient exterior lighting
Heat pump water heaters instead of gas water heaters
New insulation to help reduce heating and cooling costs
Courtyard design with low maintenance plants

It's great to see how these construction projects are making a real difference in tenants' lives.
