San Francisco, Calif - Crowds gathered in San Francisco’s Forest Hill neighborhood to celebrate the first-ever Fall Festival at 250 Laguna Honda, the site of a future 100% affordable housing community on the city’s west side.
The free, family-friendly event offered a variety of festive activities, including delicious food, a bubble train ride, a pumpkin photo booth and giveaway, Diya decorating for Diwali, and cultural performances. Nearly 100 community members joined in the celebration, thanks to the contributions of Muchococo Facepainting, Mestizo, Tree Frog Trek, SF Produce Market, Choo Choo Train, and event organizers Into The Streets (ITS).
Once complete, 250 Laguna Honda will feature an eight-story, 172-unit affordable housing development designed for low- and moderate-income families. All homes will be reserved for households earning below 80% of the Area Median Income (AMI), with 25% of the units dedicated to families exiting homelessness.
The building will offer one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments, along with community-centered amenities that promote connection and well-being. Future residents will have access to on-site support staff, nearby parks, schools, and the Forest Hill MUNI Metro station—creating a strong foundation for long-term stability and opportunity.
