In 2025, Mission Housing stood alongside more than 3,500 residents across our housing portfolio—creating spaces where people feel supported, connected, and able to thrive.
From senior sites to SROs to family housing, our Resident Services team showed what it truly means to show up with care, dignity, and humanity. Every day, their work reflects our belief that housing is not just about buildings, but about people and community.
Beyond our residential communities, we continued strengthening the fabric of our neighborhoods. In 2025, Mission Housing supported more than 30 small businesses by providing affordable commercial spaces—helping them remain in the city they love and contribute to its local character and economy.
This year was also marked by major milestones in our commitment to long-term community investment. We launched San Francisco Revival, a citywide initiative celebrating the resilience, creativity, and renewal of San Francisco as the city we all love. Alongside this effort, we introduced the Cultivation Network, a growing community of philanthropic leaders who believe in housing as a human right and in dignity for all.
We also celebrated a milestone more than a decade in the making. After 12 years of community advocacy, the 1979 Mission Street development is finally becoming a reality for the Mission District. La Maravilla, the most significant affordable housing development in San Francisco, is by the community and for the community—a testament to what is possible when we stand together for affordable housing.
Preservation remained a key focus of our work this year. We successfully refinanced Rich Sorro Commons, securing the long-term affordability of more than 100 homes in Mission Bay. We also received entitlement for 250 Laguna Honda, the very first affordable housing development in the San Francisco Forest Hill Neighborhood. Across our existing portfolio, we have preserved more than 250 affordable units, ensuring residents can remain and thrive in their communities.
To our residents, partners, staff, and supporters: Gracias/Thank you. Your belief in our mission makes every milestone possible. Together, we are building a San Francisco where everyone has secure, affordable, and sustainable housing.
As we look ahead to 2026, we invite you to keep cultivating with us—to continue championing housing, belonging, and opportunity for all. The work continues, and we are grateful to have you by our side.
Happy Holidays! ¡Felices Fiestas!
