● In 2024, Mission Housing expanded its Community Engagement team with the hiring of a Director of Community Engagement and a Senior Community Engagement Manager

● To support the passing of Proposition G, Mission Housing incorporated short, informative presentations about the bond and engaged with the broader community to raise awareness. In collaboration with Resident Services, these efforts contributed to the bond’s success and aligned with the organization’s goal of advancing affordable housing initiatives.

● Mission Housing also became a member of The San Francisco Supportive Housing Network (SHPN), strengthening its ability to advocate for individuals needing supportive housing and promoting a housing system that values equity, inclusion, and dignity for all.

● The organization actively participated in prominent community events such as Carnaval SF and Sunday Streets while working closely with the communications team to explore new engagement opportunities.​

● To address community safety concerns along the 16th Street corridor, Mission Housing hosted a Town Hall event that brought together residents, commercial tenants, and community-based organizations (CBOs) for a dialogue with the SFPD Mission Station Captain and District Supervisor.

● Mission Housing introduced a dedicated reporting email, MHDCReporting@missionhousing.org, to streamline the reporting of incidents at its properties, enhancing communication and safety protocols.
